Our Verdict
I recently put the Sofirn SP36 Pro through its paces during a week-long backcountry camping trip to see if its 8000-lumen claim held up in real-world conditions. This compact yet powerful torch proved to be a game-changer for navigating dark trails and lighting up entire campsites with ease.
Performance & Build Quality
The SP36 Pro feels incredibly robust in the hand, featuring a solid metal construction that can withstand the rigors of frequent outdoor use. The four SST40 LEDs are well-protected and efficient, delivering a consistent beam that performs reliably even after extended periods of operation.
Day-to-Day Experience
Using this light is straightforward thanks to the intuitive USB-C charging interface which eliminates the need for bulky external chargers. While it packs a serious punch, the size remains portable enough to stash in a gear bag or leave in a glove box for unexpected emergencies.
This light is ideal for avid campers, search and rescue volunteers, or anyone needing a high-powered, dependable lighting solution for off-grid scenarios.
